Apple and Microsoft vs Linux

Amusing to see the latest Forbes article asking is "Is apple the new microsoft"? As if Apple's court room games were anything new. Obviously people have short memories of Steve Jobs. After all the first thing he did when regaining control of Apple was to kill off all Apple clones. If anyone thinks Apple is into the hippie opensource movement more fool them. Apple has spent its entire life as an arrogant, secretive company.

Not that I really mind. Their products are good, and they seem to be on a roll. The Mac Mini is looking like another hit. Intel's version of the same thing some how looks like a cheap knock off. Now we've finally got the performance most people need its going to take more than better numbers to sell to all. People are finally waking up to the fact Macs are good at most things but games, look nicer and have a cleaner interface. iPod has put Macs on the lips of Joe public, and now their going for a double wammy.

Just don't expect a Mac dominated world to look better than an MS one, or you might look a little foolish...
